Bath and foot spa

Feet work the hardest over the years taking maximum abuse and getting the least attention. Our feet:

  • Carry all our weight each day
  • Have over 250,000 sweat glands each
  • Have reflex access points to the whole body
  • Are your primary mode of transportation

In its simplest form a foot bath amounts to bathing the feet with warm water and cleansing them so that they are relaxed. This also reduces the risk of foot infection and removes foot odours. The basic approach is to soak the feet in lukewarm to warm soapy water for 15-20 minutes in a foot basin; a mild, antibacterial soap is used to cleanse the feet

The feet are gently brushed o remove grime and then rinsed and dried thoroughly – especially between the toes.

There are soaps, salts, oils, fragrances of all kinds to tempt you into getting a bath and foot spa. It will make you feel better and you can spend according to how much you want to pamper yourself. Try and avoid Epsom salts as it can cause excessively dry skin. Regular salt can also provide much of the same refreshing feeling.
