Tension headaches, also known as tension-type headaches, are one of the most commonly experienced headache. It has been estimated that tension headaches account for nearly 90% of all headaches. A majority of the adults have experienced tension headache in their lifetime. The probability of experiencing tension headache is reported to be higher among women than men. The pain in the tension headache radiates from the neck, back, eyes, or other muscle groups in the body.
